YIMBYs of Northern Virginia

“YIMBYs of Northern Virginia is proud to endorse Julius D. “JD” Spain, Sr. and Tenley Peterson for voters’ 1st and 2nd choices in the 2024 County Board Democratic Primary ranked choice election. Both candidates have strong records of pro-housing advocacy, and their candidate questionnaires align with YIMBYs of NoVA policy objectives.

After reviewing the candidates’ responses to our questionnaire, 56% of YIMBYs of NoVA Arlington members ranked JD as their 1st choice and 44% ranked Tenley as their 1st choice. YIMBYs of NoVA therefore endorses JD Spain and Tenley Peterson as our 1st and 2nd choices, respectively. The election’s ranked-choice format will allow voters to rank their preferences. Given our members’ close vote split, we urge voters to rank these two candidates 1st and 2nd on their ballots. ”
